Dr Ashley White General Practitioner

Dr Ashley White graduated from the University of QLD in 1990 and has spent his whole medical career on the Sunshine Coast. Dr White worked at Nambour General Hospital before settling into General Practice, and has been at the Noosaville Seven Day Medical Centre for 21 years.

His special interests include the use of the binocular operating microscope to clean ears of wax and debris, the treatment of tropical ear and middle ear infection, together with chronic disease management (heart disease and diabetes). Dr White is trained in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants. He performs minor surgical procedures including ingrown toenails, and removal of fishhooks.

Dr Tim Dark General Practitioner

Dr Tim Dark is a General Practitioner who graduated from the University of Queensland. He has lived on the Sunshine Coast and worked in medicine in the area and in the Hinterland since 2011. It is important to him that you understand the factors affecting your health and are able to make informed decisions about lifestyle, health and medicine. Dr Dark has an interest in skin cancer and its treatment together with the more common areas of general practice such as chronic disease, children’s health, men’s health, mental health and all the ailments that bring you to the clinic from time to time. He has two grown children and three grandchildren.

Dr Amelia Azzi General Practitioner

Dr Amelia Azzi qualified as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom. She has worked on the Sunshine Coast for 15 years. Dr Azzi sees a wide variety of patients and has a special interest in women’s and children’s health, and travel medicine. She enjoys riding her horse and spending time with her two daughters outside of work.

Dr Roy Bourke General Practitioner

Dr Roy Bourke is an experienced General Practitioner who has travelled extensively and worked abroad in his early postgraduate years before making the move from Ireland to Australia in 2005. Dr Roy enjoys all aspects of general practice with a keen interest in men’s health. He loves the Sunshine Coast and spends as much time as possible enjoying the great outdoors with his family. Dr Roy is a keen runner and can often be found on the local trails.

Dr Maud Cazot General Practitioner

Dr Maud Cazot graduated from Griffith University and relocated with her family to the Sunshine Coast in 2013. Her special interests include women’s health and antenatal care, paediatrics, chronic disease management, and minor surgery. Dr Cazot is fluent in English and French.

Dr Mark Wright General Practitioner

Dr Mark Wright FRACGP is a General Practitioner who has varied experience in general medicine, emergency medicine, and minor surgery. Dr Wright previously served over 30 years with the Australian Defence Force both domestically and internationally. His special interests include veteran’s health, children’s health, emergency medicine, minor surgery, and skin cancer medicine.

Dr Peter Dobson General Practitioner

Dr Peter Dobson was born in NSW and graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1984 with a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery. He has an interest in minor procedures, skin cancers, musculoskeletal medicine, chronic disease management, and is passionate about motivating patients to achieve their own goals. Dr Dobson is involved with the organisation of General Practice through the local primary health network and working to explore new models of care and the benefit technology can bring to general practice.

Dr Anton Thompson General Practitioner

MBBS BSc PhD FRACGP

Dr Anton Thompson draws on his PhD in Zoology (University of Western Australia) to bring an evidence-based, scientific approach to his practice of medicine. Anton is a medical graduate from the University of Queensland. Dr Anton has spent more than 10 years refining his skills in the broad area that is General Practice. He also has a particular interest in counselling and has done further studies in this area to provide counselling when appropriate to do so. Dr Anton is a married father of four children and enjoys family life as well as the practice of family medicine which he believes Noosaville Seven Day Medical Centre uniquely provides to this area.

Dr Malika Loeckx General Practitioner

Dr Malika Loeckx graduated as a GP in Belgium in 2003. She has been working on the Sunshine Coast and in Queensland’s regional areas since 2006.

Dr Loeckx helps out at the Seven Day Medical Centre on the weekends when she is not busy entertaining her two teenage sons and golden retriever.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice and will be here to help out on Saturdays with the issues that cannot wait until your regular GP gets back – from missing scripts, sprained ankles to unwell children and any other pressing issues.

Dr Lucy Robson General Practitioner

Dr Lucy Robson completed her Bachelor of Medicine in England in 1997. She completed her residency at the Royal Bournemouth and Poole hospitals before travelling to Australia. She then went on to complete many years of hospital training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, General Medicine and Surgery before settling on General Practice in 2006.

Through her many years of hospital training Lucy has developed wide ranging interests in medical care and a passion for professional learning and development. She has pursued specialised further training in both paediatrics through the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Lucy believes that delivering primary medical care and acute care medicine to all ages, and especially to the youngest and most vulnerable in the community is a privilege and endeavours to deliver a professional and empathic consult to all.

Dr Rose Iron General Practitioner

Dr Rose Iron graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006 and received her General Practice Fellowship in 2014. Her interests include women’s and children’s health and developmental paediatrics. She worked in the Neurology outpatient department at SCUH and has an interest in the management of chronic migraine.

Dr Christine Tufuga General Practitioner

Dr Christine Tufuga graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996. She joined the Rural GP Training Program, undertaking additional training in anaesthetics, and gained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2003. She has worked extensively in rural and remote Australia and has considerable experience in antenatal care, indigenous health, chronic disease management, and child and women’s health. She has worked on the beautiful Sunny Coast on and off since 2005, and is happy to be back at Noosaville after a few years away.

Dr Harry Van Rensburg General Practitioner

Dr Harry Van Rensburg is a migrant doctor from South Africa, having lived in Australia for the past 25 years. Harry is an experienced GP with a general interest in all modalities of GP practice.

His pet favourites are: skin cancer, sports medicine, aged care, weight loss management and he has done extensive training in psychology and can provider mental health counselling. He is trained to do ear wax removal, using microsuction with an ear microscope.

Dr Harry is a keen outdoors person, enjoys his fitness and having been down the path of losing a significant amount of weight. He has a great understanding for the journey of each person wanting to transform themselves. Dr Harry’s mantra is to live every day like it is your last day!

Dr Yawer Muzaffar General Practitioner

Dr Yawer Muzaffar combines a strong academic background with a warm, friendly approach. He spent several years in the public system, and has worked over many years in hospitals on the Sunshine Coast and in the United Kingdom. He has a vast experience in psychiatry (mental health), and has attained a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Muzaffar enjoys all areas of general practice. His special interests are mental health including alcohol and other drugs, men’s health, women’s health, paediatric and chronic disease management. He also offers services to the travel health, commercial driver licence and pre-employment medical checks. In his free time, he enjoys cricket and travel.

Dr Justin Sissing General Practitioner

Dr Justin Sissing grew up in Sydney and moved to Canberra to study medicine at the ANU. Dr Sissing completed his GP training in rural NSW working as a GP and visiting medical officer at Crookwell District Hospital and Inverell District Hospital. He moved back to Canberra for a better work-life balance and to spend more time with his young family. Dr Sissing is an accredited skin cancer doctor with Skin Cancer College Australasia, which means he has successfully completed a high level of training with the college. His special interests include skin cancer medicine, men’s health, children’s health, and all areas of general practice.

Dr Wayne Lawson General Practitioner

Originally from country Western Australia, Dr Lawson moved to Queensland to attend to the University of Queensland in 2015. He has called the Peninsula home for the last 5 years and joined Majellan medical Centre in January 2023. Following a long and varied career as a Registered Nurse working in diverse environments such as Remote First Nations Communities, homeless healthcare, Intensive Care, Emergency and as Director of Nursing at country Hospitals, Dr Lawson decided to compete his medical degree in Queensland.

Following graduation in 2018, Dr Lawson gained extensive experience in Orthopaedics, Neonatology, Antenatal and Post Natal care whilst completing his Residency years at Mater Hospital Brisbane.

Dr Lawson is interested in all areas of General Practice with a particular interest in Neonatal and Paediatric medicine as well as mental health care.

Dr Peter O'Hara Skin Cancer Practitioner

Dr Peter O’Hara graduated from Sydney University in 1981, and after years as a resident and registrar in various hospitals, worked as a General Practitioner for 12 yrs on the NSW Central Coast. He then pursued his interest in skin, and moved to the Sunshine Coast where he has been a full-time skin cancer practitioner for more than 20 years. Besides working locally, Dr O’Hara has also worked in Adelaide, Cairns, Townsville and Newcastle. During the past 20 years, Dr O’Hara has treated tens of thousands of melanomas and non-melanoma skin cancers, supervised the training of medical students and GPs in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and been involved in skin cancer research. Dr O’Hara loves his work, and he now brings his skills and experience to Molescan Noosaville.

She has outstanding communication skills and a direct yet gentle therapeutic approach. Her aim is to help you identify and change unhelpful behaviour and thought patterns, and assist you to attain optimal emotional and physical well-being.

Suzie has worked in numerous fields of counselling including education, mental health including PTSD, PND, stress, anxiety, depression, OCD, addictions, rehabilitation, critical incidents, defence, sports, organisations, relationship matters and consultancy (team building, recruitment, training).

Tylah Shanahan is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and has been working with Fuel Your Life since the beginning of 2020. Tylah grew up in Torquay Victoria competing in Surf Sports (including competing the Coolangatta gold long course and Victorian state teams). Tylah made the move to the Sunshine Coast in 2018, and completed her Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2021.

Tylah has a keen interest in building strong relationships with her clients to with client centred approach and achieve the best client results. Tylah has had experience working with a range of different clients to support them with varying issues including general healthy eating, weight management (including post-bariatric surgery clients), diabetes, heart health, mental health, gut health, athlete nutrition, chronic kidney disease, Parkinson’s disease and eating disorders. Tylah is also a Provisional Sports Dietitian and is eager to use her background in high level sports to ensure athletes feel supported.
